Fitzgeorge Jack
is currently a teacher at Pennridge High School in Perkasie, Pennsylvania.
He teaches 20th Century U.S. History. He has a Master's Degree in
Teaching from the College of New Jersey and a Bachelor of Arts in
Political Science from Kean College of New Jersey. Prior to becoming
a teacher, Jack worked in the electronics and defense industries
for ten years as a Procurement Professional. He was also an Executive
Recruiter in the health care industry for five years. Patricia
GoldsteinPatricia received
her Master of Science in Education from Syracuse University, NY.
She spent nine years teaching English to seventh and eighth graders.
Patricia currently teaches Enriched Advanced Placement English at
the Junior and Senior levels in Atlantic City High School, Atlantic
City, New Jersey. She is also a freelance editor and corporate trainer
in the fields of report writing and interoffice communications for
large and small business groups. Matthew
GuentherMatthew, an
instructor of German and English, received his Bachelor of Arts
in German with minors in English and French from Lebanon Valley
College in Annville, Pennsylvania. He also received his Master's
in German from Millersville University in Millersville, Pennsylvania.
He is currently working on a second Master's in Holocaust and Genocide
Studies.Deborah
HorowitzDeborah Horowitz
lives and works in New York City. She has been an educator for the
past four years. She is currently a fourth grade teacher at the Abraham
Joshua Heschel School. Deborah earned her undergraduate degree from
the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where she studied Art.
She earned her Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Creative
Arts in Learning from Lesley College. She has also taught computer
classes and worked with learning disabled students. Bea
KershenblattBea has an Associate
of Arts Degree from Atlantic Community College, New Jersey and a BA
in Journalism from Rowan College, New Jersey. For over 30 years, Bea
was a reporter for several newspapers at a time, both as a freelancer
and as a staff reporter. Papers she wrote for included the Atlantic
City Press, the Philadelphia Bulletin's New Jersey Bureau and the
Jewish Record.Robert
KershenblattRobert is a graduate
of the Ithaca College School of Communications. A former instructor
at Atlantic Community College in Atlantic City, New Jersey, he has
won numerous awards for his short stories, poetry, and newspaper reporting.
He is currently developing a comic strip called "Ocean Blue" which
he hopes to publish in the near future. Vicki
MeadeVicki is currently
President of Meade Communications in Annapolis, Maryland where she
writes for an extensive array of media, including newsletters, magazines,
books, brochures and specialized publications. She's held high-level
Editor positions at the American Pharmaceutical Association in Washington,
DC, DC Public Schools and the American Anthropological Association,
and she also spent four years as a freelancer writing articles regarding
women's health issues. Vicki has a Master's in Education from the
State University of New York at Albany, and is active in a number
of writers' associations. Michael
P. ParkerMichael earned
his Ph.D. from Yale University and has written extensively on seventeenth-century
English literature. He is currently a Professor of English at the
United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.Ramona
L. ShihRamona is delighted
to serve as a judge for the Essay Competition for International Graduate
Students since it was graduate educational opportunities that brought
her parents to America over forty years ago. She currently works with
leading New York City corporations in creating and consulting on innovative
marketing and development programs. Her most recent focus involves
promoting public or private partnerships between businesses to improve
the quality of life for those who work or reside in the five boroughs
of New York City. Ramona also volunteers at various community centers,
including a local senior center, food pantry and rehabilitation program.
Eleanor
Falk YoungEleanor has a
variety of experience in education, including instructing multicultural
students and special needs students and designing units in Social
Studies, Science, Language Arts and Mathematics. She also has government-related
experience in creating public and private partnerships to raise over
$7 million in support of the Chesapeake Bay. Eleanor has a Master
of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University, Maryland. She is
currently a fourth grade teacher in Maryland, where she also works
to integrate technology into the school's curriculum.
